All recorded in Chicago; September 6 and 8, 1961.

Mississippi Sheiks: Discographical details on release lists both Walter Vinson "vocals and guitar" and Sam Hill "guitar", and Albertson's notes speak of them as two persons, with Hill having "cut two sides for Victor in 1929 and four for the Brunswick label in '31". However, postwar discographies only list Vinson, and it is generally accepted that "Sam Hill" on the 1929 and 1931 records was a pseudonym for Vinson!
